This work around requires a web server you have access to place files on. Sometimes I will create a document and upload the document to a web server URL. I then refer to the HTTP URL in my e-mail, rather than an attached document. This allows me to make a quick revision or two to the document before the recipients open the document. However, I don't do this because Evolution is in capable of sending attachments. In fact I have few problems with attaching documents using evolution. Having said that, I do have considerable problems with one mail server thru which I send e-mail. The server pro-actively scrubs ZIP files, doc files, and even sometimes .xls files. So with this mail server, it often takes several attempts, changing the document extension type etc. to get the server to deliver as it should. This is NOT a problem with Evolution, but rather a problem with the mail server I am using in this case. Could you be having a problem similar to this?
