You made two mistakes here:
1) You hijacked a thread, i.e. you posted a message about a different
topic in the middle of an existing thread. The fact that you changed the
Subject line does not excuse this. Threading works by examining headers
and not by the Subject. Please don't do this. It annoys anyone who's
trying to follow the thread. Also, anyone who is ignoring the thread
will not even see your message, even though it's about something else.
2) You quoted an entire digest, and in fact none of the digest messages
have any connection with your topic either. Do not quote digests, in
fact do not reply to digests. You can reply to a message within a digest
if the digest is MIME-formatted, but in this case (see point 1) you
shouldn't be replying but creating a new message.
