Hi,
rather than going to evolution-hackers, I would use Gnome's bugzilla,
with evolution product. Put there updated backtrace (from your sources),
with your above description, and then see what could be done with that.
The problem is that I just tried your above steps with my current git
master and it doesn't crash, the task is added as expected. I use the
local (On This Computer/Personal) task list.
