        Hi,
to get any data from the EWS GAL just search with "Email contains",
everything else is simply ignored and returns no result. This may work
when typing part of the email address in the new message composer.

With respect of the other setup, it's kinda tricky in environments where
server address doesn't match mail domain. There is bug [1] for that
filled already, same as (possible) issue with GAL address formatting
itself [2].
