I do beg the lists's pardon for repeatedly replying to myself but I've
just discovered this behaviour again when I reboot. Expunging, deleting,
manually highlighting messages and deleting them, emptying the
wastebucket - nothing deletes messages. They reappear when I start the
computer up again.

Is this a known problem?
