Sorry my mistake, I did not try autocomplete, that does work, I've just tried it. Previously I had clicked on the To: icon and been given another window to instigate a search of my address book, then select the required address, this is what does not work for me. The other thing I should have said was that all the emails and folders were correctly added to the new version of Evolution.
