Hi Eric,

ClearOS iMAP/SSL works transparently and very well on Evolution (or any
other client I've tried). There are many solutions that allow
iMap/POP/SMTP integration.  The problem is that Exchange seems to be the
only option if you also want contacts/memos/calendars etc.

I have played with using Google to sych it all together
(Thunderbird/Lightning being a great tool to do this) but it is an
amateur cludge.  It works - most of the time - until someone upgrades
something.  So it's not useful for professional duty.

It's tough to believe that we still don't have an open-source reply to
Exchange.
