Hi,
not at all, those are just iCalendar sources containing tasks or
memos, just like calendars contain events. The disadvantage is that
you need the same calendar/task list/memo list accessible from all
machines you want to use for notes on mail messages. With compare of a
note being stored on the message itself, at least readable by any
client (it might depend on actual implementation).
