Hi,
I guess you use a hiDPI screen. If so, then yes, it's known. Evolution
3.12.x uses WebKitGTK for the message preview, which has the hiDPI
screens fixed in the upcoming 2.4.9 release. That may help in all
applications using WebKitGTK, not only to the evolution.
Wait for the WebKitGTK 2.4.9 release and ask your distribution to
include it; then you should be fine.
