I also compose in HTML only infrequently, and never when posting to a mailing list, as was the case the last time this happened. I can't readily reproduce the problem so I can't pull together enough information about it to compose a proper bug report. I can only say that it happens occasionally, in Plain Text mode, when a URL is entered into or modified, or reformatted in the composition window. I do note that Evolution has ways of handling URLs during composition which have changed somewhat radically over the past few years (between versions, here). When composing in "Normal" formatting mode (Plain Text), URLs are broken in the composition window and sent out with line breaks in them, which makes them un-clickable on the receiving end. The way things used to work, entering a URL caused Evolution to go into Preformatted mode so the URL wasn't broken.
