Dear Milan, Thanks very much for taking the time to respond, it is very appreciated. To answer some of the questions you have posed in your answer:
1) My EWS account is configured directly in Evolution, I do not use Gnome online accounts since I'm using XFCE. 2) I have the following purposes for wanting to have a local copy of all EWS mail data: A) Increased email search and retrieval speed when travelling on poor wifi connections B) Reserve copy of all mail on server 3) I've tested your suggestion of adding mail to "On This Computer", this does indeed lead to the backup having the copy of the emails. However, I am afraid that I will have duplicate copies of all emails, if I have both "Sync Local Copy" and mail in "On This Computer" and I would like to avoid this situation. But if I do not enable "Sync Local Copy", then the email will not be in my cache and probably can't be copied to "On This Computer". Does this mean that the only solution for someone who wants to retain a single local copy of all emails is to: 1) Enable "Sync Local Copy" to copy all emails into cache and download the entire cache 2) Transfer all email into "On This Computer" folders 3) Delete the email cache 4) Disable "Sync Local Copy" But if the cache is cleared, then Evolution will download all the email headers again, but this time without the email data? Would appreciate any thoughts, I will continue to test, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who wants to reproduce the behavior of MS Outlook that allows having the entire archive as a .OST or a .PST file.
