Milan, Thanks for your reply, wow I didn't realise that the Mint version of Evolution was so far out of date. I will try and figure out how to get it up to the latest version. I assume that won't cause any troubles in Mint? Noted your point about it not being the signature marker. I tried your idea of left click in the message body and then right click Display Plain text version but when I do that I only get these options: [cid:[email protected]] I will try updating Evolution and see if the issue goes away.
