Yes, Thunderbird does use the MBOX format I do believe. Here is what happened: When I pointed the importer to the thunderbird folder /home/chris/.thunderbird/v9zhxwig.default/Mail/ And I picked a file that did not have an extension on it...like a file called " MYAUNTNAMEHERE" which only has maybe 30 emails in it.. Everything imported fine But when I tried to do the ARCHIVE Folder......I couldn't change the file type.. It kept saying that it was a OUTLOOK EXPRESS file type.
