Dear List

Over a year ago one of us (<[email protected]>) proposed to eliminate the
digest option for the Evolution list. For the reasoning behind this and
extensive discussion, see:

https://mail.gnome.org/archives/evolution-list/2017-March/msg00023.html

We didn't act on the proposal at the time, and in the natural course
of events the whole thing went through a more recent cycle of
discussion, which essentially rehashed the same arguments:

https://mail.gnome.org/archives/evolution-list/2018-July/msg00300.html

Given that no substantive technical objections have been raised on
either occasion, we have now decided to go ahead with this change and
will turn off the digest option for the Evolution list at midnight
(00:00 UTC) on Monday August 6th.

Current users of the digest option should start to receive the normal
list traffic as separate messages, and are encouraged to use
Evolution's filtering facility to store these in a list-specific
folder. If for some reason you think that the traffic is not reaching
you, please verify by checking the list Archives (see above) before
assuming there's a problem.

Those who wish to turn off the digest option in their personal settings
before the deadline can visit:
