Yes, I looked at the Network Preferences and tried about every
combination of settings. That did not help, but I was reading an
article over at It's FOSS -
https://itsfoss.com/speed-up-slow-wifi-connection-ubuntu/ - and the
Debian Avahi-daemon solution has improved my speed noticeably.
