Is that about a local folder? Or about a remote (IMAP etc) folder?
Does a mail folder called "Other" exist?
What does "Attempts to clear the text in the search field are
unsuccessful." mean exactly? What did you try, what happens, what is
shown? Are elements greyed out or not?
("It doesn't work" doesn't allow others to help - a clear description
of performed steps and what you see is more successful.)
