I used Tor for a few years some time back and as far as I knew there was no way 
back then to do what you're wanting to
do.  However I did a short search for Tor and email and came up with a link for 
you using Protonmail and evolution.  The
thread is a year old and only has 5 posts in it.  But it may be enough to get 
you started.  It does require you to use
Protonmail though as your email provider.
