I'm not aware of any steps I'd have to perform on a command line to do my everyday work in modern graphical interfaces like GNOME, KDE, XFCE. > 3) The people in the forum, are trying to help (from my own experience) > , but - they are unable to get down to our "Layman" level naturally That's sounds like a quite generalizing (and hence rude) statement to me. It makes me wonder for how long this very mailing list has been followed to come to such judgment about its audience and their skills to phrase and explain things to other members of this audience. More important, if things are unclear and you elaborate why then I'd say you'll likely find open ears interested and willing to improve docs.
