I'm not aware of any steps I'd have to perform on a command line to do
my everyday work in modern graphical interfaces like GNOME, KDE, XFCE.

That's sounds like a quite generalizing (and hence rude) statement to
me. It makes me wonder for how long this very mailing list has been
followed to come to such judgment about its audience and their skills
to phrase and explain things to other members of this audience. More
important, if things are unclear and you elaborate why then I'd say
you'll likely find open ears interested and willing to improve docs.
