Hi, I'd guess there is a trouble to connect to the gnome-keyring-daemon, depending what the "xxxxxxxx" in the error message relates to - if only a few numbers (like ":1.34"), then it can be the keyring daemon closed unexpectedly, or some other process. Maybe there's a crash report somewhere in the system (I do not know how the Ubuntu catches those, I'm sorry). I thought there was something about that in the user documentation, but I do not see it there, thus my memory is (probably) wrong. In any case, make sure the gnome-keyring-daemon is installed and started before you start Evolution (it can be auto-started by D-Bus when needed too) and it does not close while any of the evolution* processes are running. It can be tricky with a non-GNOME environment, but there are users running it successfully for years.
