Well, according to that, its sending the * CAPABLITY response on two lines - which is invalid.
Not that that makes any sense ... unless its a custom courier imapd or something else is interfereing with the stream. At least, i'm pretty sure the code keeps reading the input until it reaches a \r\n, and not just each packet, might need to check that.
