I'm having the same problem. I checked bonobo-activation-config.xml and
it had no existing <item> entry, so I placed one in the <searchpath>
section. Tried re-running evolution but still nothing.

Something that I noticed is that I have both an /opt/etc/gconf as well
as /etc/gconf. Could this be a problem? Maybe evolution is getting
confused over which settings to use? (I'm just grasping at straws
here... :) )

Any suggestions are welcome. (And after 6 hours of battling with getting
it compiled, I was so looking forward to seeing it work... oh well...
soon enough I hope... :)
