At a first glance, that should work.
Possible issues depend on the Server Type. And make sure, not to close
Evolution having one of those mboxes open.
To be sure, that does not break anything, you can check that yourself by
moving to a temp directory without irrecoverably deleting.
I am not sure about your question regarding config.xmldb (Evo 1.2.x), as
normal mbox files AFAIK are not stored in there. What do you really
wanna move?
