Folks,

After checking the archives on the question of duplicated files after
syncing my Palm Pilot, I'd like to post the question from what may be a
slightly different direction. I too, have been having troubles with
duplicated entries -- my already large contact list doubled in size on
Evo 1.4 when I last sync'ed, for example, even though I see no similar
doubling on the PP and the conduit is set for sync. (And yes, I use
Undupe on my PP).

When Evolution syncs, is it capable of telling PP which files have been
deleted on Evo and so should be deleted on PP? Or is it capable of
knowing which PP files have been deleted and so should delete them as
well on Evo? Or are things still at a stage where one -- either Evo or
PP -- should be the primary repository of data and transfers should only
be one way. Finally, is the nasty hack one that involves removing (then
if so, how?) the Evo files and resyncing with the PP as though it's the
first time?

Yours for efficient use of disk space...

Pete
