Hi, i'm getting in trouble trying to send email with evolution (>= 1.4)...
I get an error windows saying: MAIL FROM response error: Command unrecognized: "" Debugging it i saw: sending : EHLO ts. received: 250-mbox.unict.it Hello [ip.ip.ip.ip], pleased to meet you received: 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES This server supports enhanced status codes received: 250-PIPELINING received: 250-8BITMIME This server supports 8bit MIME received: 250-SIZE received: 250-DSN received: 250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN received: 250-STARTTLS This server supports STARTTLS received: 250-DELIVERBY received: 250 HELP sending : MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> received: 500 5.5.1 Command unrecognized: "" sending : QUIT received: 250 2.1.0 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... Sender ok I'm wondering for the EHLO message of evolution.. I think that EHLO should be followed by the hostname or ip of my pc.. I don't know what means ts and where he get it... More: evolution seems to add an CR or some strange char at the end of ehlo string.... I have the problem both using and not SSL and/or SMTP AUTH What about it?
