Hallo, after puzzeling for nearly two days including several google searches and etherreal sniffing I guess I need some assistance. I am trying to get evolution 1.4.3 to work with an openldap-Server 2.1.17 on a debian-woody system. I am able to read and delete entries via evolution and I am also able to add entries using the openldap-tools (using the same binddn and searchbase as for evolution). But when I try to add or edit entries via evolution I cannot enter a single letter in the appearing form. I have no idea where to look further. I included core.schema, cosine.schema, inetorperson.schema and evolutionperson.schema in my slapd.conf. But it does not work either I leave evolutionperson.schema out or not.
By sniffing a bit I realized that evolution, after having set up the values for the directory-server for the first time, queries the server with an unauthorized bind for several attributes from the rootDSE (such as subschemaSubentry supportedFeatures ...). So I had to change the access-rules to make that query successful - and it was (concerning to etherreal-output). But adding entries is still impossible. I would appreciate any hint which might help me on my way. Thanks in advance Carsten P. S.: What's strange, that I am not able any more to delete the directory-server entry from evolution (using Tools->Settings). _______________________________________________ evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution
