1) It's hard to say for certain how to sync with a device I don't own. 
There may be plenty of people using that hardware who just don't read
this list.
2) Evolution uses gnome-pilot as an abstraction layer.  Support for a
particular device has more to do with gnome-pilot (and pilot-link) than
with Evolution.  One could just as easily ask whether Evolution works
with a particular model of modem.  You might be better off asking on the
gnome-pilot list.
3) It might also be useful to provide more information on your setup. 
The specific device is not always the limiting factor; there are
sometimes known bugs or limitations of certain software versions. 
gnome-pilot, pilot-link, and the kernel (assuming Linux, though you
didn't specify) are the three biggest variables in software, though a
glib (glib2 on some distros) update was involved in many recent
gnome-pilot problems.  It can also be useful to specify what distro
you're running (again, assuming Linux) and whether you're using serial,
USB, IrDA...
