Well, I don't get that. Indeed, I am quite confused.

As you piped the mail to SpamAssassin using Evolution, the message will
not be altered AFAIK. You only can judge from the return code of that
program. That means, the SPAM header must have been there before
Evolution piped that mail.

Are you sure about the new header?

Please, can you tell me where the docs are talking about SPAM filtering?
