Hi list (including Mark Gordon and guenther), My problem was mentioned before. I've RFM and nearly all of the 169 postings in this list related to the keywords 1.4 and spell.
I have RedHat9 Gnome 2.2 and Evolution1.4 Installed: aspell-0.50.3-1.ximian.2 aspell-compat-0.33.7.1-0.ximian.6.4 aspell-compat-devel-0.33.7.1-0.ximian.6.4 aspell-compat-en-ca-0.33.7.1-0.ximian.6.4 aspell-compat-en-gb-0.33.7.1-0.ximian.6.4 aspell-de-0.50.2-0.ximian.6.1 aspell-devel-0.50.3-1.ximian.2 aspell-en-0.51.0-0.ximian.6.1 gnome-spell-0.5-5 gnome-spell1.0-1.0.5-0.ximian.6.1 gtkspell-2.0.4-fr3 pspell-compat-0.12.2-0.ximian.4 pspell-compat-devel-0.12.2-0.ximian.4 I also have: /usr/lib/libaspell.so.10.1.1 /usr/lib/libaspell.la /usr/lib/libaspell.so.10 /usr/lib/libaspell.so.15.0.2 /usr/lib/libaspell.so.15 /usr/lib/libaspell-compat.la In spite of this german doesn't appear in the selections under tools/setting/composer preferences/spell checking. There are only three versions of English.
