Libpst 0.5 looks like great work, but not without many problems. I discovered several bugs when using very large pst files (i recommend exporting the main pst into several smaller ones). Even after converting all my pst files into mbox format i lost about 40% of my attachments. Most of my mails now consist of two parts - the clear text mail body and a rtf attachment containing the same message again. Somehow most of my messages lost their attachments that way - it looks like there are some problems with the mime boundaries. At last i tried to convert my contacts into vcard (readpst -cv bla.pst) which ends in libpst segfaulting.
My resolution was exporting all data into an imap server and fetching it from there. Therefor you need to get the tnef decoder from sourceforge to convert the ugly winmail.dat which gets attached to every mail that contains an attachment or rtf/html content.
