I will give you some examples, I hope I can make myself more clear: 1. I receive a mail with a word document as an attachment. 2. When I reply this mail directly, with the reply button I recieve a message from the destination server: Subject: Nondeliverable mail ----- Transcript of session follows ------ [EMAIL PROTECTED] 500 Host server does no support 8bitmime 3. The same happens if I send a mail with a word-document as an attachment. 4. if I send new message with only text in it works ok, if I try to copy or paste some part of the original message, again it is rejected. > Jeff > > On Mon, 2003-10-20 at 11:42, Tonio Caputo wrote: > > Hi, > > > > Im having some trouble with some servers that > > reject 8bit mime encoding. > > > > Really I don't understand why because they let > > outgoing mails coded in 8bit mime. > > > > The problem is I cannot reply the mails directly (I must re-compose > > them) and I cannot send attachments with other type of encoding (lets > > say word document) because evolution encodes the text part of my message > > in 8 bit mime. > > > > Is there a way to change how evolution encodes a message ? > > > > Thanks in advance, any help will be welcomed -- Tonio Caputo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution
