Less than zero? What makes you think SPAM is reported with negative
return codes? I dunno, the documentation say:

-e, --error-code, --exit-code
        Exit with a non-zero error code, if the message is determined to
        be spam.

Beside that: AFAIK redirecting the output can harm the results (IIRC
Jeff said so some days ago), I may be wrong, though. And I would get rid
of the redirection part, shouldn't do anything useful at all.


Filters for SpamAssassin have been discussed some times. Likely you can
find some working filters in the archives. There is a searchable
version:
