Does SuSE 9 come with GNOME 2.4? XD2 is based on GNOME 2.2. The next
iteration of XD (3?) will be based on GNOME 2.6. Ximian are unlikely to
ship the current XD2 for newer distributions with GNOME 2.4, as
attempting to downgrade so many package will likely break the whole
system. You can probably expect to see Red Carpet and Evolution for SuSE
9 from Ximian some time soon, but I wouldn't bother hoping and waiting
for XD2.
