Having a problem with my machine locking up as well on a palm sync.
I was able to setup the initial sync and it worked correctly but since
that initial sync my machine locks up.

Config -
Evolution 1.4.5
Redhat WS 3.0

I have noticed that running as a non-root user when I press the hotsync
button on the palm it appears that something changes the rights to
/dev/ttyUSB1 which is linked to /dev/pilot. The rights and ownership
are changed from
crw-rw-rw- 1 root uucp 188, 10 Sep 15 09:02 /dev/ttyUSB1
to
crw------- 1 ron uucp 188, 1 Nov 26 14:51 /dev/ttyUSB1

Thats when the machine locks up. If I reset the rights and try a sync
again the same occurs.

Any ideas where the problem could be located? gpilotd? evolution?

Thanks
