This is fixed in snapshots for some weeks already. If you don't feel
like waiting for 1.4.6 (which likely is to be released soon) you can
install the current snapshot:
ftp://ftp.ximian.com/pub/evolution-snapshot/
The snapshots are very stable for me and have other fixes as well. Use
the FTP server mentioned above or Red Carpet for convenience.
As you are running Mandrake: 1.4.x snapshots are available for MDK 9.1,
unfortunately not for 9.2 (yet?).
