Hi Even after excluding all mbox.* files a backup of evolution is really big. Can I exclude the following? ~/evolution/cache ~/evolution/mail/pop/_name_of_account/cache
yes, but don't exclude:
~/evolution/mail/pop3/cache-<account>
those files hold which uids have been downloaded from said pop server.
