That is quite a bummer. I've really gotten use to running Evolution on Solaris. I would be interested in hearing of any alternative mail clients that have a built in calendar too? If not, what separate personal calendar program do people use?
Mozilla has a Calendar extension. You can find pre-built Mozillas with Calendar support at mozilla.org.
