Folks,

Before posting this as a bug, I thought I'd check the experts first:

When trying to hot-sync my Palm M125 with Evolution's development version 1.5.6
(20040407 if I remember correctly), I get a connection, and my Palm shows a quick skip
over addresses (tho I have more than 400) then shows that the datebook is syncing.
Once the datebook is finished, the sync session cleans up and stops without syncing
to-dos (or the hastily bypassed addresses). And no datebook data show up in Evolution.
I've double-checked the settings in Evolution and on my Palm Pilot. They seem to be
fine -- that is, all three major features are set to sync. I've even tried setting up
an initial sync as pilot-to-Evolution only, rather than a full sync. Still doesn't
work.

I know people (including me) had problems with gpilotd crashing on sync with 1.5.5, so
clearly progress has been made, since the sync process on 1.5.6 at least doesn't
crash. I do have some sync settings turned off in Evolution -- expenses, for example.
But I'm not sure that should make any difference. Any thoughts on how to acutally make
it work for real?

BTW, I'm running Evolution on SuSE 9.0.

Best,

Pete

P.S. If I try to do a clean install of Evolution 1.5.6, somehow it picks up setting
information that I thought would have been cleared out with the previous uninstall.
What file am I overlooking for a clean uninstall-reinstall?
