You know, sometimes I wonder if my brain works. On Tue, 2004-04-27 at 10:51 -0600, Richard Zach wrote: > I've tested Palm syncing under 1.5.7 some the last few days. I read this email several times, and STILL I tried around a dozen time to do this. I almost sent an email saying "I can't copy record to the Palm", and then, thankfully, my brain kicked in. > Sync after migration from 1.4 duplicates all records > http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=57621 > > (a fix for this is in CVS) Been playing with this, and not getting a lot of love from the calendar. I sync'd four times, and ended up with five copies of all my appointments - in both the palm and in evolution. It made the palm so slow and unstable, that somehow - in my effort to remove all the duplicates (here's where a list view of ALL records, with the ability to select multiple records for removal, would have saved me three hours) - I ended up with exactly the correct information in evolution's calendar, but a completely empty palm calendar. (here's where I kept trying to copy to palm, duh) The trouble is that syncing won't work either, since the palm is convinced that it is up-to-date. How can I force a "long sync" on the calendar? Do I do that by changing the pilot ID and "send to pilot"? Well, the good news is that after the problems with the initial sync of the address list, that is now working just fine. Thanks.
