It can stand out as a beacon of excellence by always emitting standards-
conformant messages. This is what happens with PGP attachments for
example (there are solid reasons for not *accepting* non-conformant PGP,
beyond simply a strict adherence to RFCs, tho that's also slightly
controversial).
