My sense (inferred) is that there's more going on here. Starting evo up takes a LONG time. The progress bar [and/or status message] when getting new mail resets itself - rather than going 0 -> 100%, it does that several times - apparently once per folder that has new messages. The comment I made above has been my feeling for many months; but further: since I have junk mail filtering turned on, is that process above already happening?
