The Evolution mail composer uses the gnome-spell tool to highlight
misspelled words on the fly as you type them, and give you suggestions
for possible corrections. To turn on spell checking you need to verify
that the required software is installed then configure Evolution if you
use Debian's apt-get .

- apt-get install aspell or pspell
- apt-get install gnome-spell
- apt-get install aspell-en

Thus Restart Evolution -> Tools -> Settings -> Composer Preferences ->
Spell Checking -> Check English

PS if you required French then apt-get install aspell-fr and So on for
what ever country you wanted to install.
