Are you on RH or Fedora?  Are you on a non-intel processor?  Can you --
force-shutdown evo and then run:
<prefix>/libexec/evolution-data-server-1.0

See if you get an error like:
(evolution-data-server:1773): libebookbackend-WARNING **: libdb error:
environment not yet opened

If so, a work around is probably to unset LD_ASSUME_KERNEL.  We have a
patch for the libdb in e-d-s that should fix this problem.
