Sounds about right, the update on the etable list is very slow, it depends on how big the window is, not how many messages there are in it. Try using the scrollbar or making it smaller.
Its probably reacting badly to the video card as well somehow. It uses a lot of client-side rendering, so any bandwidth issues will be accentuated.
We're looking to replace it with a different widget for 2.2 if we have time, although that probably doesn't help you a lot.

I have two machines (one at work, one at home) with Fedora Core 2 (updated last night via yum) and Evolution 1.4.5 installed. One is a PIII 900 with silly ati 128rage video, other 950 Duron with radeon 9000 video. Both work fine except for the Evolution message list - when scrolling the message list with my arrow keys the CPU goes 100% and I can see the blue selector bar being drawn (basically very slow redraw on the message list). Only have about 100 messages in Inbox, zero in other. None of my other apps have this. Also have a old noname laptop with FC2 on, no problem there (PII 400, siliconmotion video). Any suggestions? (maybe something to do with ATI video + FC2?) ps (Tried it with Evo 2.0, same problem) _______________________________________________ evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution
