With all due respect to Jeff, those seem like facile arguments.  After
all, if you extend that logic, why not remove -all- options and solve
the UI clutter problem once and for all.

You should at least de-couple the desirability/usefulness of an option
with its presentation in the GUI, and address those issues separately.
