If you're asking what I think you're asking, it's easy. For example, I have a co-worker, let's call him John Doe. I want to send him an email. So, I type "Joh". All of the Contacts who's names match "Joh" (that includes everyone named John") display on a drop-down list. I arrow down to chose the email address I want. But, you say, there are 2 addresses for John Doe. Which address am I emailing at the moment? Right-click on the address. It will show you. > > On a related note, is there any way to have Evolution show *both* name and > email address when it adds them to the recipient list in the message > window, just as an extra reminder/check? Not to my knowledge, but see my previous paragraph. Note that the "email list" pane has both the name and email address.
