I need to try out a fix that's only been submitted to the 2.3.x branch,
but I'm running GNOME 2.10.1.

Is it wise to try evolution 2.3.1? I know the executables will be named
differently, but will I have data issues switching between 2.2.2 and
2.3.1? What about just building 2.3.1 under GNOME 2.10.1?
