I've seen a problem  where the exact opposite happened: the headers got
printed but none of the email! 

It turned out that bitmap fonts weren't getting printed (there's a bug
somewhere in bugzilla for this).

So you may want to look at what fonts you have selected, and see if that
fixes things.
