After many, many hrs and a lot of reading and such, I figured the issue
out.  I just happened to stuble on something in the
evolution-help-contecnts and decided to give it a try.  I had to change
IMAP to IMAP4 which I had never guessed.  And this was after I
downloaded and moved the entire evolution archive to my server.
