You can try running from a terminal, it should print out the file
offsets where it is having problems; and then edit the mailbox to look
for problems.

Or ... just remove the .ev-summary file for the corresponding mailbox
and let evolution rebuild it.

(its a very long-standing bug and i've never found out what causes it)
