My comments weren't particularly linked to the HIG (which I haven't read), but now that you mention it I'm glad to see that someone was thinking along the same lines :-) I would vote for keeping the policy (and for prodding developers to implement it). However in all honesty I couldn't care less about the specific problem of text vs icons. What irritates me is that the user is expected to *know* that this is configured somewhere else and not from within Evo. Just how is he supposed to find out? Is it in the Evo manual?
